Permanent Makeup Lips
A natural appearing permanent cosmetic lip liner, or full lip colour can be applied.
This procedure is great for those who have lost colour around the edges of their lips, lost definition because of aging; to create more symmetrical lips or for those who have pale lips. Permanent lip liner or full lip colour gives definition to the lips and mouth, as well as the look of a fuller appearance.
Full lip colour can be applied in either a natural hue or a more vivid one. Wear your permanent lip colour alone in a natural tone or apply different shades of lipstick over your permanent lip colour for those occasions when you prefer a more dramatic look.
If you have ever had cold sores or fever blister on the lips you will need to consult with your medical practitioner regarding medication to be taken to prevent / manage a possible breakout of cold sores / fever blister.
Permanent makeup is a process and at least one follow-up to the initial procedure should be scheduled. A follow up appointment is normally scheduled four to six weeks after first treatment to determine how the procedure has healed and if any further work is needed.
The longevity of permanent cosmetics varies from person to person depending on lifestyle – sun exposure, the colour/s used for the permanent cosmetic procedure, as well as topical products applied to the skin.
Permanent Makeup is low maintenance but not zero maintenance. Permanent lip procedures are considered permanent because the pigment is tattooed into the upper part of the dermal layer of the skin and therefore, cannot be washed off. However, as with all permanent makeup procedures, fading can and does occur. Periodic colour refreshment is recommended to maintain the desired look.
